Just got done remembering the Cuban Missile Crisis and now I see myself, once again, picking up a random volume of F&W and paging through it for no other reason than to find something interesting to read. When I inserted the Encarta CD for my kids the first time I wasn't excited for them. I was sad. Only grandparents like you and I would understand why! And I spent hours browsing, too. I remember the pages of dog breeds, the famous paintings section, the waterfalls of the world. You're right.
